Unpacking Public Space: What is it? How do you document it?

Many people choose to just go on a walk on a daily basis. A lot of the time people view the spaces that are around them from completely different angles. If they venture from there home town there is always something in spaces that they have never noticed before and the detail that the person has would have of the place would grow more and more. Though most of the time when people viewing the space, it is a location that they have never been to before. In a public space through out the city there is always a derive. A derive is an experiential passage through a space. This is always very important when it comes to the human eye. If it is not something that interested a human than the location or space would never truly be used for its proper propose. The derive of the space must be extremely important as well as the look of it as well. Many people try to look at the big picture like a city but just viewing multiple locations throughout the city will help give anyone a grand picture of the history and importance of the city. Many obverses don’t usually follow along with that at all. A human is too hard to control their actions so they will venture wherever they please throughout the city. This will not allow them to have a big picture of the city and its beauty. The beauty that observer’s loss a lot of the time is that they just goes to the highlights such as museums. Rather people should go to the small inlets or slices through out the city, which many people don’t know about like the “Little Italy’s” and the “Chinatowns” around the world.
